Are you bothered about early/mid/late war years?
If so then please state can only use equipment that was available upto 19xx, from entries given in the BA army books.
E.g. Late War starts 1944 (I think?) which for me would limit how many assault guns I could have. Which tank I might choose, etc.

This would be good. Then as war progresses through further rounds. You can devise upgrade rules. So maybe not only roll for replacements but also for upgrades...

Good point Paul. Our campaign starts the night of 5th June 1944.
