6th Ed Deep Strike Scatter

So after looking at various strategies to play the game I was looking at deep striking and well, it doesn't specify anywhere how far deep strikers scatter?

Unless I've missed it, it just states 'roll for scatter' not how far..

Just to note - I'm assuming it's 2d6 and the scatter die, roll a hit and the units stays where you placed it but I cannot see it written anywhere.

If you have read it or know can you please point on page number(s) etc.

Yeah it's 2D6" and scatter dice. p6 in general priciples talks about scatter .
