Cutlass!
#1
Haven't quite decided which is the best forum for this yet, so I'll stick it here for now...

Cutlass! is a new pirate fantasy miniatures game set in the Carribean, from Gav Thorpe and Adam Clarke (both ex GW).

More info at the Official Cutlass! Home Page and Gav Thorpe's Blog.

Still want to have a look at this at some point (Paul - it's got pirates!) and for some reason a review from back in May by the Gaming Club Network has appeared on their Facebook page today:

Sounds like it has some campaign potential.

I must admit, this does look interesting and thank you for posting the review, that was exactly what I wanted to read; an honest, hands-on experience.

Perhaps after I've spent some time with Infinity. And Malifaux. And Hordes. Oh lord... Heh
Warmachine (Retribution of Scyrah, Khador), Hordes (Trollbloods, Blindwater Congregation), Bolt Action (IJA Infantry Section, Soviet Russia Armoured Platoon), SAGA (Norse-Gaels (WIP)), Deadzone (Enforcers, Forge Fathers)

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Might *just* pick up the rulebook for now...

I'm seriously considering taking the plunge with this - at £20 for the book then a couple of sets of miniatures it should be a fairly inexpensive experiment. The campaign sounds like it has serious potential.

As I've already got Alexis the Pirate Girl (via Simon from his visit to Salute this year)...

...I'll probably nominate her as a captain, and then pick up the two sets of pirate girls...

Aye, it does sound promising, and there are some interesting factions - I'm also drawn to the Dwarf Pirates...
