What about this list (Cally 2016)?
#21
Ok in the above list the brazen claws are now ravenguard as double checked the etc FAQ and if I join the space marine IC to the Ravenwing he loses chapter tactics. Ravenguard means the scouts are shrouded turn 1, and get +1 to night fight.

Or I could take a dark Angels cad instead of the ravenguard allies:

TERTIARY DETACHMENT: Combined Arms Detachment: Codex Dark Angels
HQ2: Techmarine (65), bike (20), conversion field (20) [105]
Troop1: Scout Squad [55]
Troop2: Scout Squad [55]
FA8: Drop Pod [35]
Total [250pts]

Extra 10pts on a combi-grav in the second bike squad.

Can't decide!
40K - Dark Angels, Dark Eldar, Necrons; Lord of the Rings - lots; Bloodbowl - Dwarves, Wood Elves; SAGA - Anglo Danes & Welsh; Guildball - Morticians, Engineers; Dropzone/fleet - Shaltari

What does the allied detachment give you?

Is it worth dropping it entirely and putting more points into your main force?

It's there for the drop pod for the culexus and so that I can reserve the strike force if I want to and not get tabled turn 1. Against a shooty army with a lot of ignores cover I would really want to reserve I think.
