OK, not sure what you took against Dave but I fancy trying Dark Eldar at 1500pts and I haven't got much choice in what I take as I am pushing it to 1500 anyway. Unless I take Eldar allies.... Same issue i have, want to run my BA and all my drop pods have arrived but none of my assault marines, rhino's or bikes.. so bit restricted in what i can take. 
Its will basically be Dante, libby, sang priest, 5 sang guard,7 death company, 5 assault marines in pod, 4 x 5 tacs in pods for a full reserve list. This may change depending on my stuff arriving/getting painted.

Definitely! I'll see what I have Tyranid-wise by that point - could probably do 1000 points of them or anything you fancy of Chaos? :-)
40K - Tyranids (4500 Points) & Chaos - The Purge and the Brazen Host (8500 Points)
30K - Death Guard (2000ish Points), Sons of Horus (175 Points because Loken) + World Eaters, soon.
