Looks good that. Something else to consider are the Forge World weathering powders. There's a PDF guide to using them here.

I'm afraid I tend to agree. It might not be so bad in person, but from the photo's it looks like your kids had a field day and buried in the flower bed. I would have guessed less is more, especially on a well maintained vehicle of the Adeptus Astartes. I would suggest prehaps trying one of the snow weathering sticks, if you felt the need to salvage it.

However the rest of the model is a beauty. Really well done.

On a side note, how easy to use were the weathering powders? I have been tempted to buy some in the past (although atm I don't have anything to use them on,) so a verdict on ease of use would be helpful.

yeah, was thinking that as was doing it......
plus side is water based so bit of water on sponge and can ease it down. i'm finding the tamiya weathering kit really easy to get along with, just add little water and away you go!
Cheers for constructive critism, always appreciated so can fix! Smile

Liking the effect, but might just be worth taking it back a notch like you say. Would like to get a closer look if you can bring it along to the meeting on Tuesday?

Yeah, much better - reassuring to know that an overapplication of the weathering effect can be undone!
