I actually really like the idea!! I dont know if i could bring myself to drop tig purely for the chance of misfortune to counter screamer councils and beastpacks (withoit eldrads stupid 2+ deny the witch lol) ive got the Tau code so ill have a proper look into it!

I'm sure you could build a better/more efficient Commander, he’s a proper tank, plus if you have the pts you can get Broadsides/Riptide :p but then it gets expensive.

Could even go for something like:

Calgar
Commander Awesome + Marker Drones
5 Dev Centurions
2x5 Marines
10 Kroot
3 Broadsides High Yield Missile + 6 Missile Drones
Storm Raven
Storm Raven

Should still have pts for more troops/Tig, I know what you mean about Missfortune, it’s pretty vital against a Scream Council which can deny on a 5+ and you’ll only have one chance, Eldrad with Fortune has a 2+ re-rollable deny the witch for 1 turn and the Farseer has a 3+ or 4+/5+ any other time… lol
