Chris' Necron Fleet [Campaign]
#11
The only thing that bothers me about events that happen only at the start of the game turn is that they will always cause a disadvantage for one player and not another. Like when the flare hit which dropped all the shields on all my escorts. It was your turn next (because you had first player turn per game turn) and so you got to fire on them when they were defenceless. You took damage I know because Necrons have no shields, but if you were a normal race (with shields) it wouldn't have affected you at all because you'd have taken the flare on your shields, but then immediately moved away from the blast markers that turn and your shields would have been up again.

That's true and if that were the case that would suck. Guess you could house rule that each game turn you alternate which player turn you make the roll on if that makes sense?

By the way, I think you may have miscalculated my vps Chris. I make it that I got 352.5.

Tomb ship crippled 550 x 0.5 = 275

Shroud light cruiser crippled 155 x 0.5 = 77.5

All crippled Necron capital ships count as 50% destroyed you see whether they disengaged or not.

However, I have also read in your rules that reactive hulls make you IMMUNE to the effects of solar flares, radiation, dust clouds and blast markers. Whoops!

That'll teach me to read my rules! Yes you are right on both counts, never mind, will know for next time!
