Cheers Graham, on the campaign spreadsheet theres a sheet called "Games Played", I'm still working on the format, I think I'll change it so the players are in columns rather than rows and have it like scenario/attacker/defender/system on each row etc.

Game 1 (Raid: The Bait) Chaos vs Chris' Necrons - I won the game as the attacker
Hades heavy cruiser was crippled and withdrawn for repairs. Damaged Slaughter class cruiser was fully repaired, my Repulsive grand cruiser successfully requested a refit and gained "Superior damage control" which allows an extra dice when rolling to repair damaged systems. My reknown goes up to 4.

Game 2 (Raid: Convoy) Chaos vs JJ's Eldar - I lost the game as the attacker
Slaughter class cruiser was destroyed and replaced with a new Ld 6 ship. 2 x Idolator raiders were destroyed, but the squadron was repaired using my 2 repair points. I then rolled a 1 when requesting reinforcements! Sad Hades heavy cruiser returns to active service. My reknown goes down to 3.

Maybe we should all make our own threads in the forum and track games played that way. can keep track of awesome battles and abject failures, as well as changes to our respective fleets.

Also thanks for the game Keith was a lot of fun. Although I'm pretty sure my fleet commissar will be having words with the fleet commander over failing that all ahead full order twice!

I also think when we did postgame we forgot about your crippled light cruiser, I've got my fingers crossed that it might push me over half your fleet points value crippled/destroyed so I get a bit more renown for the sub-plot!

Hi Will,

Weirdly, I had been thinking about how if you had crippled my light cruiser (which would only have required one more point of damage) you would have succeeded with your sub-plot too. Unfortunately, my light cruiser was on three hit points (out of four), and therefore (incredibly!) not crippled. Are you thinking about when we were trying to work out what half its weapons would be? That was because it was braced that turn.

Ahh yess now I remember, my bad. I got confused. could remember talking about weapons at half strength and knew it had 3 hits left, thought it would have 6 total. There's always next time :-D

Edit: my brain wasn't working I put 3 hits taken when I meant left.

Eldar an Tau ships have less HP than their Imperial Navy equivalents, cruisers 6 instead of 7, light cruisers 4 instead of 6 etc. Sad

I was pretty lucky in the end. Right up to the last turn, you were winning in terms of VPs after making my carrier run away crying, and with all your cruisers damaged, but not crippled. I know you were considering disengaging, but I can understand why you hung around to try and win the sub-plot (after all, all you needed was one hit against my light cruiser). But like I said, that was the turn when the rest of my fleet really caught up with you, and did a lot of damage (helped by my sneaky torpedoes that snuck in under your shields and then took out the shield generators on your flagship, at the end of your turn no less).

After most of my games so far there have been a lot of those "what if" moments. If my carrier hadn't failed all those brace saves, it might have been able to sneak behind that asteroid field and carry on the fight. If you had managed to score one more hit on my light cruiser, you would have won the sub-plot giving you an extra 2 renown. If those torpedoes hadn't taken out your shields, your flagship would probably still be around. My game against JJ essentially came down to one brace save each for our escorts. Oh well, c'est la guerre as they say.

After the battle I once again failed all my leadership rolls to gain experience, even the light cruiser with a leadership of 6. In fact, I think all of my light cruisers now have a leadership of 6. On the plus side I have successfully appealed for refits after both of my first two games, giving me an extra shield on one of my protectors and manoeuvring thrusters on a light cruiser (so it can turn after 5cm). My other protector (Gauntlet) and light cruiser (Tsunami) are now back from holiday, my flagship (the Greater Good) is taking a break, and of the three repair points I had after my game against Will, one has restored the light cruiser (Man o' War) to starting damage, one has brought the Castellan squadron (Rapier) up to full strength, and the other one is wasted. My destroyed squadron of Wardens is also back at leadership 6.

JJ, are you going to give us access to those spreadsheets so we can update them ourselves, or are you going to maintain them as the campaign organiser?

Sure I can, you'll need a google account though. If you'd like access, PM or Email me your google account email address.

Could you guys stick to only editing the sheet for your fleet for now until I've sorted the format for the Game Played sheet?

JJ, just looked at the sheet and noticed a couple of errors, I don't have halemnet, I've got Verstap instead (won it in the battle vs Keith). Also my renown before our game was 14, not 2 as on the table, since I gained 12 renown against Keith. Cheers
