On March 30th, 2013, premium YouTube channel Geek & Sundry (The Guild, TableTop, Written By A Kid) asks all of our fans to go to their friendly local game store, community center, or host an event at home and play more games. International TableTop Day is a reminder to spend more time and strengthen the bonds with the people who matter most, our friends and family, by playing games together. Tabletop gaming promotes many positive social and cognitive benefits like increased communication, team work, planning, and is an excellent stress relieving activity for all ages.

International TableTop Day also represents the one year anniversary of the launch of the hit show TableTop, hosted by Wil Wheaton (Star Trek, Big Bang Theory, Leverage). TableTop has been a well-reported boon to the international gaming community, not only creating whole new generations of tabletop gamers, but also providing a rising tide that supports many game stores and publishers. TableTop fans have sent us thousands of fan mail responses telling us about how TableTop has rekindled their friendship, brought families together, helped hospital patients find strength to carry on, and even provided peace for grieving families. TableTop has become much more than a show, it has become a shining light for the whole international gaming community. And we want to give back to our fans in a very special way!

International TableTop Day is a celebration for all the fans of tabletop gaming. A single day where the whole world is brought together in a common purpose of spending time together and having fun. We hope you find the resources you need -- to connect new fans to experienced group organizers, retailers with their community, and publishers with the international community -- all in one place. As those who watch geekandsundry already know march the 30th is international games day. There is this group of gamers who call themselves Rules32Cafe. They can be found on both twitter and Facebook. They are in the process of trying to open a geek cafe in Worcester but in the meantime they are going to be holding an event to celebrate.
The details can be found on their face book page but the jist is that they have hired st swivens hall in Worcester, to be used for a plethora of wargames and board games.
I'm definitely going and I hope many of you will join me, planning on bringing malifaux, Warmachine, Bushido and some cut throat caverns
