"Offline: my quest to find a ‘StarCraft’ replacement in my life"
#2
Nice piece, what it boils down to is that wargaming requires a certain degree of dedication and commitment, with computer games you can just pick up and play them. Personally I find wargaming much more enjoyable, partly because you actually interact with real people, partly because you are physically moving these models/rolling dice etc rather than clicking a mouse button, and partly because it involves models that you put together and painted (or half-painted, or mean to paint someday...) yourself. Both the first two reasons can also be applied to board games I guess, which I am also a fan of.
40K - Dark Angels, Dark Eldar, Necrons; Lord of the Rings - lots; Bloodbowl - Dwarves, Wood Elves; SAGA - Anglo Danes & Welsh; Guildball - Morticians, Engineers; Dropzone/fleet - Shaltari
