I think I'd be up for going to this too! RE: Star wars X- wing miniatures game - actungpanzer - 19-01-2013 Pre ordered a tie interceptor today..but its, such a long wait till release! RE: Star wars X- wing miniatures game - manrogue - 19-01-2013 Really love this game, played it a couple of weekends in a row with the brother in law now. Wish Wayland would hurry up with my Y-wing and Tie advanced i ordered a month ago though, really want to experiment with the different ships! RE: Star wars X- wing miniatures game - manrogue - 06-03-2013 Currently have a lot of stock on amazon at bargain prices with free shipping (starter is £25!) http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_1_6?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=x-wing+miniatures+game&sprefix=x-wing%2Caps%2C689 RE: Star wars X- wing miniatures game - Stuart - 20-03-2013 Just ordered the starter set for Ethan for his birthday. What initial expansions would you recommend beyond this? RE: Star wars X- wing miniatures game - manrogue - 20-03-2013 Depends which ships you like, Y-wing seems good, Falcon performed great for me, another X-wing wouldn't go a miss.... We played 125 points last night, Which got me Han in the Falcon, Wedge in a X-wing, generic X-wing and Y-wing. The game lasted roughly 1 1/2 hours i think So maybe a good start point might be Starter set, Y-wing and Tie advanced? Then you get to experiment with a couple of different ships and see what you think of the game before going all in? RE: Star wars X- wing miniatures game - Stuart - 20-03-2013 Cheers Vince. Might stretch to a Falcon too - that'll be for me though RE: Star wars X- wing miniatures game - manrogue - 20-03-2013 It is a really fun and easy to get hold of game, nothing to complex which is a good thing! My first game was against brother in law who doesn't wargame and he really enjoyed the game. So much so he went straight to Amazon to get a starter set and all 4 expansions that were out at the time. Falcon is a beast, 360 degree firing arc, lots of shields and armour. |
