Salute 16th April 2011 - WW1 - Simon - 17-04-2011

Hi,

Managed to get down there and took some photos.

I'm going to split these into threads by genre.

Some of the boards were outstanding, others were plain and simple a real mix.

The Battlefront stand was heaving. I think there were 3 demo games, plus the store, and a stand for Wargames Illustrated (owned by Battlefront), so it was very busy. Especially as they're flavour of the month at the moment, and have also just released the Vietnam updates to the game.

The Gallipoli board was really well made.

The other ww1 game pictures above was equally as good. The trench systems were so finely done. Built by two chaps who written fast play rules for the era. Great stuff.

Si

I recall seeing a really impressive WWI (I think) trench system on display at Games Day the past few years - can't recall for which game system it was being used though. Could have been Warhammer Historical I guess?
