Primarch as in 30k Primarch? good god no. Those things can wipe out entire armies on their own. only balanced if the opponent is using one.

They don't look too bad to me, i looked at Alpharius. Not played against a 30K force, much less a Primarch though.

The only primarch who can do that is angron vs a blob guard army. The rest are very much force multipliers with stats of your average demon prince i think. Put it this way. The most combative primarch (again angron) can solo anngrath IF you get very lucky and have maxed out his attacks with via butchers nails rule. I dont know how much angrath is but im pretty sure he is less than 400 points.
But again. I will be at the meetings on tuesdays (possibly the 3rd now maybe but if not 10th) with both 30k army books, the faqs, my lists that i might run and codex space marines for people to compare against. If someone wants to bring codex chaos space marines and compare them too by all means do.
I probably wont being him as working him into an army that has to grow (ie i cant drop units for him) would be tricky. Good to know where people stand though.

i've not looked at the alpharius rules, but Horus, Angron, and a few of the others seemed like utter beasts. i have the books i'll take a look later see if i missed something, and look at Alpharius

Most of the Primarchs are ungodly murder machines when played right - Angron, Horus and Mortarion being at the forefront of that. Not sure how you'd get one into this league though as it would be far more than 25% of your army at 500pts and more than the 250pts you have to spend?

Yep, planetary empires style map with crusade of fire system.
Summary/update so far-
500pts starting point.
Must fill out mandatory slots in your CAD (ie HQ, 2 Troops).
No allies.
Only one unit from each slot bar troops. (ie HQ, Elites, Fast attack, Heavy support) So no triple riptide, only one allowed, then crisis suits then stealth suits etc.
2 of each Dedicated transport allowed max. For Eldar, falcons can be taken as dedicated transports
2 Flyer/FMC max. No swooping/flying until 1250Pts for both.
Whatever unit you choose must stay in you army,the only thing that can be changed is upgrades at month end when you gain your 250 points.
Low Allowed
No Super Heavies
Losing 3 games in a row increase your point allowance to 300 for next month.
Invisibility nerf in effect
Chaos only can summon, 1 unit max per turn.
Maybe something to stop certain MC's
No AV14 till 1250 Pts has been reached?
4' x 4' till 1000 Pts, 6' x 4' for 1250Pts plus

Anyone i have missed?
Currently have 16 by my calculations if all the above is correct, split into three groups roughly according to forces (imperial 6, Chaos/Dark 5 and own goals5).
Could do with one more for each of the groups (bar imperials) if anyone knows someone interested?
Not a massive issue as we have a very good core, would just balance numbers.
Could the 2 Dave's confirm their forces as well please?
More than likely. But can do loyalist/traitor Imperial Guard/pdf (That is what they are and that is what I shall call them) and chaos (word bearers). Depends on which faction needs the player numbers.
