Hello RedWarSoc!

Firstly, it was a pleasure meeting those of you I did earlier today. Fantastic to see such a lively community right on the back doorstep!

I am Dan,
I've been collecting 40k intermittently for a few years, amassing a collection of Chaos Space Marines, Space Marines and Necrons. (Shame about the new Necron fluff!)

I am interested to play SAGA, Bolt Action, 40k, Inquisitor and I'd love to demo Malifaux and Necromunda!

Looking forward to seeing you next week!

Hi everyone,

Was great to meet some of you last Tuesday. My name is Matt, and I will be regularly attending from now on Smile

I've just moved into the area to begin my teacher training, and am originally from Stevenage area, in North Hertfordshire.

My game of choice is 40k. In fact, that's pretty much my only game right now! Was previously a player of Fantasy, but over the years the rules got sloppier, and emphasis seemed to lean towards massive, unsubtle and expensive horde units, so I left and joined 40k instead.

My heart will always belong to Imperial Guard, and more specifically, to the 23rd Company of the Selturan 16th Regiment, AKA "The Roughnecks". I can field 3000pts, and there's a lot of variety- you might find yourselves facing over 100 infantry models at 1500pts, or I might bring an armoured column of five Leman Russ variants. I love the narrative side of the game, so I usually make fluff centred lists, rather than going with uber competitive non-sensical lists. If you've talked to me already, I've probably mentioned that I have a real bug about only fielding painted models as well.

Last year I branched out and started a Dark Eldar army too, themed around heavy use of Venoms and Raiders. This currently stands at a modest 1500pts, but I will look to expand them further in the future. My real pride with my Dark Eldar is that every single model is converted in some way.

Wow, this went on longer than I thought! I'll shut up now.

Hi Matt and welcome. Love converted models but I usually don't get round to doing it myself.

I play WFB and 40k, think I met you briefly last week so look forward to a game sometime. If you fancy a fluffy 40k game sometime I have most of the 3rd company of the dark angels, along with half the 1st and 2nd companies.

Chris
