Had a very enjoyable game with John, with his Anglo Danes emerging victorious after his Warlord single-handedly saw off an assault from 8 Jomsviking Heathguard!
The forces assemble, with the Jomsvikings launching a raiding party on the far left flank and a small unit of Hearthguard testing the right flank with an approach under the cover of a dwelling...

Just when I managed to accumulate a few points of Wrath to spend, this happens (not a lot of options here)...

From the safety of a woodland the Jomsviking Warlord orders his prized Heathguard forward to assault his Anglo Dane counterpart...

The Heathguard creep forward and lure out the commander of the Anglo Dane forces into melee...

...and are promptly sent scurrying back where they came from, minus one casualty...

The remaining turns saw the Anglo Danes march forward relatively uncontested to remove the remaining Hearthguard and a unit of Warriors (scoring a significant points victory) while the Jomsviking Warlord saw out the game by witnessing the devastation from the sidelines.
Great fun!
