You are right about the Vindicare. Blimey.
Hits 89% of the time. Rolls 3 + 4d6 armour pen - +1d3 for any 6's rolled.
Didnt realise how good he potentially is until I picked him!

It never goes well when 1 shot takes out a third of your army :p, leaving just the Paladins who are pretty slow and could be out manoeuvred and out gunned.
