Not much done today, other than priming the ocean area around the island with gesso. It has produced a nice contrast between what will be the water and the island.

Much obliged Rob and Chris - the only real stumbling block left is how to achieve the water effect I'm after.

Good luck with that, I once read an article about someone who painted the base blue, then covered it in couple of layers of PGA, then painted White ripples round areas water would naturally ripple against, the results where amazing, but it was only on a small scale single figure, so not totally sure it work out or not.

That is epic!! Not to sure how 'playable' it would be though! Id be scared to break a palm tree :p
