also, relics? Yay or Nay?

Patrol structure? or Combat Patrol?

Max 10 Wounds and NO relics, sounds correct.

I also thought that the list just needed 1 TROOP choice and nothing else.

bit confused then as we have an onager with 11 wounds listed in Fitz's

is it 1 HQ or 2 allowed? as patrol is open and fine with 2 but Combat is restricted to 1. combat is open to up to 6 troops, but patrol has a cap at 3 (and patrol was meant to be the next level)

i dont mind what is selected, i just want to know before i make a list.

@Fitz, its your campaign, whats the decision!

I was working from Russell's post (about the 4th one in this thread) for a Combat Patrol at 25PL.

- You must select a Warlord as normal, but do not select any relics/artefacts.
- You may not use any units with a wounds profile of more than 10.
- HQ 0-1, Troop 1-6, Elites 0-2, Fast Attack 0-2, Heavy Support 0-2, Flyers 0-2.

I think my Nid lists is OK, and was going to make a Biovore my Warlord.

yep, yours looks fine.

i just dont know what the plan is at this point.

im fine with just using a patrol detachment. and no restriction on wounds.

I'd suggest defining the rules in the opening post of the lists thread. Big Grin

For simplicity's sake. and to prevent headaches and open up some options. I'm locking the army list to patrol detachment. Looking at the submitted lists Only 1 is affected (sorry wak. Maybe swap a biovore or rippers for a broodlord?)

Remember that as the campaign goes on and the PL increases. You can only Add to the list by expanding unit sizes (if not already at max) and adding new units. Once a unit is added to your army. It stays in any future list.

I'm working backwards from a planned 100PL list - planned to use a different list to start with but starting with a patrol detachment is difficult for Guard as you have so few slots to use. So I've had to bring the heavy stuff a bit earlier than intended!
