Like in the Shooting phase e.g. a unit of 5 Tau Pathfinders charge a Knight. Do 5 Pathfinders make close combat haywire grenade attacks?
A: Only one model from the unit can attack with a grenade in the Assault phase. Per Warhammer 40,000: The Rules, ‘Only one grenade (of any type) can be thrown by a unit per phase’.

Does this mean that a unit of 5 Fire Dragons can only use a single melta bomb in the assualt phase?

!!! Surely this is wrong! Difference between being thrown and used in combat where you are clamping it onto a vehicle. So the other 4fire dragons hit the vehicle with their fists or stand around watching their buddy struggle to attach his melta bomb!

If you think about it in most films most of a squad hides in cover while the suicidal guy jumps on the tank with a grenade. Probably a bad idea for everyone to run around with live grenades could end badly for the squad if someone set their timer wrong. Plus there are only so many places you can attach a shaped charge to a tank and do something useful.
I think they will change this. However from what I gather the answers are from the rules team and this is the community team asking to make sure the answers are clear, not to ask opinions on the answers. So could be stuck with what we have.

I've only read the Space Marine ones so far. But it looks like Death-Star builds will need to change now due to being unable to stack chapter tactics in the same unit.

The psyker changes aren't that bad really. It has however completely ruined the conclave formation, making it pointless. Why would you need 3-4 librarians to only cast 2 spells.. especially when casting on 2's with an average of 11-12 dice...

Good news, dreads from older SM codex's now get the same number of attacks as their more codex compliant variants.

Also looks like they are preparing to make the current set of drafts official soon.
It nice to see that updating older codexs based off community feed back could become a thing.

I think it's probably a good thing the conclave has lost a lot of its power. Having been on the receiving end a few times it can be a bit ridiculous. It's still good if you really want to reliably cast one or two important powers. I.e. invisibility.

Has the conclave lost its power????

It was only casting 2 or 3 powers anyway?

2+ cast is crazy good!
