7th edition lists

So........ After a bit of time to digest the new rule book i have already seen some crazy lists floating around on various forums aswell as some really fun armys too! figured id start a thread for us to share lists ideas aswell as provide 'positive' advice on army building from some of the more experienced players to see if we can equip everyone with a list thats fun but wont get blown off the table by any opponent that feels the need Smile

Cool idea Nick

Barges are super good in 7th so expect to see alot of Necron catacomb command barge with over lords decked out with all the trimmings. Immune to all S6 or lower shotting from the front and side (AV13) and immune to S4 shotting from the rear. Bring high strength shooting / grenades and Grav guns but you have to pass the 3++ save. If the model is over lord is downed it can get back up still in the barge with resurrection protocols!

The daddy IC from the Imperial Armour 12 - The Fall of Orpheus called Katlakh is sick in a command barge. He deals out insta death AP1 hits on the sweep attack and close combat attacks. Grim but expensive at 300 pts including the barge. I have not played him yet as not many use the Imperial Armour books. Katlakh can with a good chance kill two riptides or dreadknights a turn if you let him sweep as well as charge.

Not sure what i will run to be honest playing with a knight + guard list and pure enclave Tau list. Something roughly similar to this at 1850 pts-

Theres a load of units that can be allied to stop non psyker armies getting eaten alive in the psychic phase!

The best one ive found is....

Coteaz 100pts
10 psykers in a razorback 135

This will give 13 warp charge points aswell as the chance to re roll seize. Also forces your opponent to re roll if they seize on you!

Love the Enclave list.

Coteaz and psykers for a chance to stop invisability. It's the only spell I am worried about

But there are rumours about an FAQ for inquisition, meaning that a group of Psykers may only get the value of Psychic Level of 1 similar to the Imperial Guard Psyker Unit.

It would make sense if they did faq the gk psykers as 10 points each is too good! Hope they dont though as ive just bought and painted 10 of them :p

Love the addition of knights to your sisters dave! Think you might have finally found a suitable friend for them! Theyre super tough to kill although with 6th a lot of guys swapped all their melta for plasma but i can see melta returning in a big way as its the most reliable way of popping tanks now!

I was a bit worried that I did not have enough Meltas in my sisters army with only 8 being fielded. So I decided to have the Errant Knight so I can have another the Mother F**ker of Meltas.
