I've got to remove the warmaster and choose something else, I didn't know you didn't need one at the time.

Regarding the upgrades, I am using the Traitor Legion fleet list, not the standard chaos fleet list, so I can take chaos space marines crews, chosen terminators etc. Plus, the extended range lances are a normal upgrade option for the Repulsive class grand cruiser.

To clarify guys, standard upgrades for named vessels listed in fleet lists are allowed at start up such as nova cannons, as these are unavailable as refits later anyway. If it's in the fleet list, you're allowed it, the only exception is the fleet commander which is always you.

FYI

We will be using sub plots.

2) Do you know what the rules are for generating scenery? I assume we will have to determine the sunward edge for your movement, but what about planets, gas clouds, asteroid fields, solar flares etc.? I know the book has tables for randomly generating scenery, flares, radiation bursts etc., but how many times do you roll on those tables?

OK, the scenarios state which zone the battle is fought in for the most part, those that don't will be determined by "Setting Up Celestial Phenomena: Method 3" as described in the rulebook, i.e. via attack ratings etc. Once the Battlezone is determined We'll split the table up an roll on the appropriate generator for each square.

Recently picked up a shroud class light cruiser and was hoping I can squeeze him into my list - is it OK if I change my fleet list seeing as the campaign hasn't started yet (just)?

Can't fill up the remaining points now but I want the option to have the shroud (no idea how good it will be!).

Also, say we are doing a 1500 pt game, can I choose to take fewer escorts in a squadron, say 3 jackals just for that battle to save a few points, or do escort squadrons have to be taken at full strength?

Just so it's clear you all need to be here tonight at least for the campaign setup at the beginning as we have to roll for LD and allocate starting systems etc.
