LOTR Campaign results
#1
OK so turn 1 is over, Isengard gained control over Tharbad, fighting off a tough Elven Alliance. (I won a very close game against JJ and Stu). Mordor clashed with Gondor and the men of Minas Tirith triumphed (I believe some rangers managed to slip past the Mordor defences as Will lost to Matt).

So results to be posted in this thread. Will also try and keep track of upgrades/wounds and force sizes here.

Turn 2 results:

Isengard and Mordor together fended off the Riders of Rohan and seized control of the West Emnet ('they are moving through the Westfold, burning and pillaging as they go....!').

One of Luke's surviving captains gained +1S and the other +1 Def.
Will's Shaman gained +1 Fate and his Orc captain gained +1 Might
Chris's Uruk Hai captain Krulguk gained yet another Fate point!

Paul beat Stu's forces at Dol Guldur

Matt beat Rob's forces at Pelargir

JJ beat Ben's forces at Northern Mirkwood, the Dwarves then withdrew from the war.

In round two Gondor won on vp's despite being pretty much entirely turned into oliphaunt toe jam. The final score was 6-3.

No unnamed Gondor heroes survived. Faramir did survive.

Rob's hasharin and elephant master survived. So they need rolls for bonuses.

Gondor has liberated Dol Amroth and Pelargir from the naughty Haradrim. For now.

Mumakil really are incredibly horrible'

Sorry Rob as per the rules you must retreat to node 25 as retreating to your own controlled node takes priority over retreating to an unclaimed node:

Quote:"If you win, occupy the node. If you lose, retreat - to the node you came from if you moved this turn, or an adjacent node you control, or failing this an unoccupied node. If you cannot retreat to an unoccupied node you are destroyed – you lose your army and can raise one at one of your nodes in the end phase of the following campaign turn. All named heroes attached to the destroyed army escape and may be used in this new army (so effectively you lose map position and play a campaign turn with one army). You may retreat to an unclaimed and/or unoccupied node but do not count as controlling it in the end phase, and if attacked next turn without moving you will count as disordered (fight with a -10% penalty to your force allowance)."
