Sorry bud, page38, firing through units (even friendly ones) will grant a cover save i the enemy is 25% obscured.
Also - no point in oblits being in cover as they have 2+/5+ save IIRC (defo 2+ not sure on inv)
Aye- Which is why the cultists move out the of way, Oblits shoot, cultists run to get back in front ;-)
Edit: D'oh. Forgot about the Invuln, so the Cultist shield would be daft. A Sorcerer buffing them with Biomancy would only be a small amount of points more and could hang out of the line of fire, move, buff, run back out the way.
