New Releases - February 4th - Stuart - 26-01-2012

Just saw mention on the Total Wargamer Facebook page of new releases for Lord of the Rings.

Can't see a mention on the Games Workshop site, but Total Wargamer are listing the following: http://www.totalwargamer.co.uk/lord-of-the-rings/lord-of-the-rings-pre-orders.html

Are the new sourcebooks a replacement for the old ones?

Looks like the books are new versions of old factions 'Books for LOTR: Fallen Kingdoms, Free Peoples, Kingdoms of Men, Mordor, Moria and Angmar' http://www.heresy-online.net/forums/showthread.php?t=104696

Pictures from White Dwarf are on heresy-online as well, I like the Watcher in the Water but not too keen on the Gorgoroth Beast, the orcs in the howdah thing look good but the beast itself looks a bit silly. Some nice kataphract models as well. Maybe I will have to get out the old Lotr models for a game sometime Smile aaargh too many models to paint!

Bit more on the new source books here: http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/wnt/blog.jsp?pid=1100046-gws

So it looks like these will basically supercede the Legions of Middle Earth book, now reflected as "no longer available" on the GW product page.
