RE: Redwarsocia, the game - Noisysteve - 21-03-2016 Ive now drawn the maps, so just need to get them copied, and in your hands ! Been thinking about sieges. Most towns in this era were walled, and so hard to assault unless you battered the gates down! Any settlement controlled by a faction, and the Capital, will be considered closed. Neutral settlements will be open. To assault a closed settlement, you need to spend 5 gold on siege engines. These engines do not travel, and are considered lost when either the settlement falls, or the besiegers ger bored and move on. Each siege engine gets 5 attacks per week, and needs a 5+ on a d6 to score a hit on the gates. Settlements need 10 hits to cave in, the Capital needs 20. One hit point can be repaired by the defenders per week. You can always bypass a settlement instead of attacking it.
