Yeah i think top plays bottom, 2nd plays 2nd bottom Etc would work pretty well and should almost guarantee theres no rematches.

its simple u seperate the table into 2 top four scorers and the four least scorers u try to match it with the best vs wrost but if fails (remetchs) then its just number top four 1-4 and bot 1-4 and random it ull still reward people for winning more but ul ensure no rematch's played (since we only played one game at this stage)

Yeah mate, you can, but there are penatly pts that will effect the next game (example: you win 7-6 on Vps, but you made 150pts worth of changes so you would then deduct 2 points from the game, giving a final score of 5-6 changing the game to a loss
) Taken from page1:
Alterations include any wargear changes or squad changes and are totalled up, if the figure is:
0-50pts change = 0 penalty points
51-150pts change = 2 penalty points
151-250pts change is 4pentalty points
251-350pts change is 6 penalty points
351- 500pts change is 8 penalty points
No more than 500pts worth of changes can be made in a single round.
So it's gonna cost once you hit above 50pts
