What do people think on the necron or Chaos Fleets as they seem at the moment to be the easiest to put together?

Having not played in ages I can't remember details that well, but the Chaos are a more 'normal' fleet as they were originally included in the boxed game. Necrons are very different, I have a small fleet and am hopefully going to get a game in at the end of the month, but they are very tough but if you manage to destroy a necron capital ship they give away lots of points, so necrons are liable to phase out (run away) before they take too much damage.
